Barkmoral's tried and tested approach to force-free holistic dog training is the number one option in getting you and your dog singing from the same hymn sheet and enjoying life together. 

With Head Trainer Evelyn at the helm, our individual custom programmes begin with some information gathering prior to an in-depth at home consultation to see what your struggles, challenges, and just as importantly, triumphs are with your dog.

We will also discuss your dog's general routine, breed characteristics, development stage, and nutrition.

​

It is then common that we refer you to a veterinary specialist to clear any physical issues that may be causing a change in behaviour in your dog before beginning any training. 

​

From this point we structure a plan to best suit your goals which will determine approximately how long your programme is and what kind of training will be best. 

​

It is key that everyone in the dog's daily life is involved in this process which is what makes our flexible one-to-one sessions so valuable. With the option to change the location of these sessions, we can work at your home, the park, or at Barkmoral depending on the environment that we need to work in.

We also frequently recommend the use of our 'dog download days' which is a fast-track day of Evelyn training your dog without you present. This allows continuous trickle training to target the behaviours throughout the day in different situations and help give the dog a head start, so when you are having your one-to-one sessions, your dog already understands what you are going to be asking, rather than you both learning from scratch together and taking up more of your own time in one-to-one's, helping to get to the goal, faster.
